Rocciano is a frazione (a suburb or small village connected to a larger town) of the Comune di Teramo in the Abruzzo Region of Italy. It sits at an elevation of about 450 meters, not far from the villages of Rapino, Frondarola and Spiano. Nearby is a road leading to Valle San Giovanni and beyond. About one kilometer away is a portion of the state highway 80 (SS. 80 del Gran Sasso) leading from Teramo to Montorio al Vomano.
Rocciano in recent years has become quite well known as the home of the Masseria Scipioni – a small equestrian center and restuaurant with a spectacular panoramic view of Teramo. Visitors to the Masseria Scipioni frequently stay at Villa Casale, a nearby vacation rental guesthouse and dine at an agriturismo called Fabiocchi located less than 1/2 kilometer away.
